When we’re running our businesses, a lot of effort goes into sales and marketing. You’re active on social media, you’re constantly growing and nurturing your list, you’re creating sales funnels to help automate the sales processes, and maybe you’re even using ads to boost your reach (well I mean, at least you’d hope so.)
But sometimes, sometimes, you only need to make the teeniest, tiniest tweak and it makes a huge impact on your business and sales. Like, for instance the two tweaks I’m about to share with you have added thousands to my bottom line – literally thousands! – where if I didn’t implement them, I’d still be lagging behind.
So, you wanna find out what they are…
INCREASE YOUR PRICES
This is literally the single, easiest, quickest way to make more money. I did this with my eBook last year. So, it was selling like crazy at $19, so I decided to be bold and up the price to $25. The crazy thing was, my sales didn’t change. I was still making, on average, the same sales every day except that I was making $6 more per sale.
Now, if you have a product that’s selling really, really well, you absolutely need to increase your prices because you’re too cheap. If you’ve had your product for over a year or even over 6-8 months, it’s time for a price increase.
If you’ve updated your product or you’re about to, you definitely need to put a price increase in with that. Because over time, obviously your knowledge and expertise grow. So, you’re going to be putting that into your product, so the price increase is warranted. And doing this, literally takes like 2 seconds. Two seconds to increase your price and suddenly you have more money coming in!
ADD A NEW PAYMENT GATEWAY
OMG this! I wish I had done this sooner, I really do, because I’m now kicking myself that I didn’t. Oh My God! For almost 2 years I have been using PayPal as my soul payment gateway. If someone wants to buy my products, they have to go through PayPal.
Now, what I didn’t think about this, that even though PayPal is the most popular and the most used payment gateway in, probably, the world; it’s that not everyone does or can use PayPal. Some countries ban PayPal! So, for me, because I was only using PayPal, I pretty much eliminated an entire country from being able to buy my products. An entire country!
So, I decided to add a new payment gateway just to see, just to test, if it actually made any difference. To be honest I was a little bit sceptical. So, I added Stripe, and I wanted to test it over a week to see what would happen. And, within that week, I made over $700 extra in sales!
Why didn’t I do this sooner?! I am just kicking myself that I could’ve easily added this simple tweak into my business that would’ve made me more money long ago….
So yeah, learn from my mistakes! Please increase your prices and add a new payment gateway, seriously. Seriously, please, do that today. It will take less than 5 minutes!
