A huge thing I’ve seen time and time again with my clients and women in business is that they feel unsupported by life.
Whether that’s in their businesses, careers, finances, relationships or community. They’re not able to trust that they’re being guided and looked out for, they’re unable to believe that they’re always being taken care of and they tend to feel a lack of safety and security.
But here’s the key thing I realized when I had an epic emotional meltdown in Barcelona back in 2019..
You can feel supported without requiring it to come from an external source.
You can MANUFACTURE those feelings and beliefs ON YOUR OWN and fully change what’s going on in your reality.
Here’s my 3-step process that explains exactly how to do it.
Step 1: Define The Experience of Being Supported
What does being deeply financially supported look and feel like to you? Define it.
Ask yourself this question and write your response in a journal:
>> If everything was taken care of, I had all the money you want, the home, the lifestyle, the family etc.. how would I feel in that moment knowing I’m completely supported?
That might look like the following:
- Taking more time for yourself in the evenings to relax and unwind from the day
- Spending more time in nature, walking in the forest or bathing at the beach
- Going to the salon and getting a blow wave, manicure or a luxurious facial
- Dining at popular restaurants, ordering take-out or Uber Eats instead of cooking
- Paying for services that make your life easier (i.e a cleaner, babysitter, nanny, laundry service or food box)
- Purchasing products that make your life easier (i.e robot vacuum, multiple phone chargers, lip gloss and sunglasses)
- Hiring people to help you in your business (i.e contractors, VA, social media manager, copywriter, graphic designer)
- Starting a yin yoga or vinyasa practice so your body feels more flexible and fluid and less stiff and sore
- Adding more vegetables on your plate or drinking more wine in the evenings (yes, really)
- Trying breathwork, meditation, writing morning pages or trying EFT to connect more with your inner child
- Spending more quality time connecting deeply with your partner and letting him or her do more for you
Describe everything in vivid detail, the emotional and visual elements to the physical aspects, include pictures, photos or drawings, where are you, what do you do, how do you spend your days? Write it all down.
Step 2: Add Those Experiences to Your Schedule
Now that you know what the experience of support would look and feel like in your life, now it’s time to schedule it into your calendar!
The experiences we desire always begin with us. When we tend to our own vibrational frequency and we create what we desire through our aligned action, we create a new standard, a new way of being, and if you continue to reinforce this vibrational frequency, everything that comes into your life will match it.
For example: Let’s say you decided monthly facials were an experience that made you feel supported and you started scheduling them in. Every month you come out of your appointment feeling lighter, happier, relaxed and deeply nourished.
Because of this your tank feels “full” and when you go home you decide to cook your partner a highly nourishing dinner and because you feel deeply nourished you create an atmosphere of deep connection with your partner over dinner.
Your partner notices a difference in you every time you come away from your appointments and he loves when you both connect at dinner so he starts booking your salon visits because he wants to contribute to your well-being, he starts giving you more shoulder and foot massages at home and starts taking you away on weekend road trips without you having to do or say a single thing.
Because you feel taken care of, the actions you naturally take make your partner feel taken care of too, and in turn your partner wants to take more care of you.
That’s just one example of what can happen but do you see how everything begins with you? When you create a different state or vibrational frequency within you and you hold it, it starts to have a ripple effect out in the world. You do your part and the universe does its part. This is total co-creation.
It’s time to put those experiences into your schedule and DO THEM.
Step 3: Do Generating Sessions Every Day
Generating sessions are where you take 5 – 10 minutes to place all of your attention and focus on putting your mind and body into the state of how you want to feel. In this case, that would be feeling supported, taken care of and nourished.
You’re going to take what you wrote down in Step 1 and re-imagine what that feels like. Perhaps it was relief, relaxed, light or ultra feminine, once you touch on the feeling you’re going to zone in on it and amplify that experience within your body.
You may find visualizing yourself doing or having those experiences you listed out or a simple image of you in a relaxed state can help you tap into the feeling a lot more, whatever helps do it.
If you prefer using mantras or statements, try these:
- The universe has my back
- I’m always being guided
- I’m deeply supported by the universe
- There’s a greater power looking out for me
- I am always watched out for, protected and loved
What you’ll find you’ve done through these three steps is create congruence (alignment) with your thoughts, actions and vibrations. They are all focused one way, in one direction, and when everything is lined up like that, you have placed yourself on the fast track to an abundance of support in your life.
