When we’re starting our businesses, we have a lot of hurdles to overcome. There is a huge learning curve that you have to go through when starting a business.
If you happen to have prior knowledge of certain aspects then you’re going to have an easier time than others but, if you don’t, then there is a lot to think about in the spectrum of a business.
BUT, more importantly, when we start a business, we obviously want to make money from it, right?
So, we get to a point of trying to figure out what the hell to sell? And, how to go about creating that, what to position it as, and all this other palaver that you’re going to have to think about but specifically WHAT TO SELL?
So, the question then becomes; do you make this big elaborate course or group coaching programme, or do you keep it simple?
The only thing that I want to tell you about that is, you’ve got to think practically. You’ve got to think in terms of what’s going to be the easiest way you can start selling something, today? Is it going to be a 12-week, live, group-coaching programme that has video training, audio lessons, worksheets, a private Facebook group and then of course, live calls for those 12-weeks. Or, is it going to be a one-hour video training that you can record literally, right now?
You don’t have to do the big grandiose thing right now, nothing is set in stone, just because you’re creating it now doesn’t mean that you’re going to have it in ten years’ time and it’s going to be your signature offer.
Create what you can, right now, that’s the easiest for you to start making money. Because there are so many other elements that you have to worry about when you’re running a business, when you’re starting it from scratch, that trying to create this perfect product from scratch which you are not going to have any experience in doing, is pretty much impossible and you’re setting yourself up for failure and overwhelm and then more than likely, procrastination.
Stop making it so hard on yourself. Save the more intricate, more experienced product creation for like your third, fourth or fifth year of business. Right now, just get in, get your hands dirty and start discovering what you can do.
