This entrepreneurial journey can be a lonely road a lot of the time. Especially when you’re starting out. And even more if the people in your life aren’t too supportive of your business.
So what’s a lonesome entrepreneur supposed to do to remain sane and social while building their empire?
Facebook groups.
Active communities buzzing with like-minded people in your industry.
They’re kind of like a forum and mastermind at the same time where you can talk about what’s going on for you in your business, ask for advice, dish out your own expertise, share your work and loads more.
When I first started getting into facebook groups, I joined EVERY GROUP UNDER THE SUN, because I thought that’s what you had to do. I soon came to find that it’s way too overwhelming trying to keep up with them all. Especially when most of them are complete pitch-fests.
Now? I spend most of my time in groups that I absolutely LOVE and pay for. Each community helps me and my business in different ways and I absolutely adore the people that I have met through them. Check em out below!
The 100k Club
The $100k Club by Tori Dunlap is a personal finance group for women in America. I’m in New Zealand but I find her advice helpful and have applied a lot of it to equivalents here. Though I’m very envious of the HYSA Americans get! It’s superior in every way! ANYWAY, this group is JAM PACKED with advice and helpful experiences shared by members whether it’s about asking for a raise to commanding more money to maxing out their Roth IRA, if you want advice on personal money management, this is a great group for you!
Boss Project
The Boss Project (formerly Think Creative Collective) is a group by Emylee and Abagail who I’ve followed for years. I’ve always enjoyed being part of this group and feel like I can create genuine connections with other entrepreneurs easily. As their biz has grown, it’s become a very active community with different themes each week as well as regular livestreams and trainings you can sign up for through the group.
